Karen Skriver Zarganis completed training at the Royal Danish Music Academy in 1993 after studies in London. She was solo flutist in the Randers Chamber Orchestra from 1992-1998.
Finalist in Jeunesse Musicales competition in Belgrade. Won second prize in the Danish Radio Chamber Music Competition in 1993 as member of the Ensemble Nord and the Prize of Honor from the Julie Friisholms Memorial Fund in 1998.
Karen Skriver Zarganis has an all-round career as a chamber and orchestral musician. She has specialized in performing newly-composed music with Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen, FIGURA and Ensemble Nord, but also really likes to work in children’s theatre and “the usual” symphony orchestras, amongst others, as a member of the Copenhagen Chamber Orchestra. She has toured Brazil, Russia and of Europe and has participated in numerous cd-recordings.
