Thomas Ekman studied with Ingbert Michelsen, Philip Farkas, Björn Fosdal and Ota Vojacek in Sweden. Thomas Ekman was horn player in the Drottningholms Barokensemble, where he played natural horn. He was solo horn player in Odense Symphony Orchestra and Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra. Thomas teaches horn and horn education at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
In 1999 Thomas Ekman was awarded the Wilhelm Lanzky-Ottos Scholarship for his contributions to Swedish horn playing within and outside Sweden. Thomas has been a member of Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen since 1996.
