Toke Møldrup – Cello

Toke Møldrup made his debut from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2005, and has been a member of Athelas since 2008. Apart from his studies in Copenhagen with prof. Morten Zeuthen, he has studied in Århus with prof. Harro Ruijsenaars, with prof. Hans Jensen at Northwestern University in Chicago, and has worked at masterclasses with Truls Mørk, David Geringas, Valter Despalj, Yo-Yo Ma, Ralph Kirschbaum and the Alban Berg Quartet.

Toke has toured all over the world as a member of the Paizo Quartet, who won the 1st prize and Grand prize at the 4th International Chamber Music Competition in Melbourne in 2003. He has been a soloist with orchestras such as Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, the Belgrade Philharmonic, Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquestra Virtuosi, the Danish National Chamber Orchestra and many more. In 2007 he won the Danish String Competition and EBU´s “New Talent International Music Competition” in Bratislava.
