At the Stockholm Culture Festival, Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen plays the music written for the Stieg Larsson films by Jacob Groth – the internationally renowned Danish film composer.
At the first of two concerts on the opening night of the Nordic Music Days 2010, Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen performs music from Norway, Iceland and Finland.

Music by world-renowned Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho and young composers Herman Vogt from Norway and Daniel Bjarnason from Iceland is on the programme for the first of this evening’s concerts featuring Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen and eminent Chief Connductor Pierre-André Valade.

Two concerts on the opening night of Nordic Music Days makes it possoble for Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen to explore music from all Nordic countries (except our native Denmark). The second concert of the evening presents Swedish music for chamber ensemble and objects – among other things a mobile phone and an electric milk frother – and Finnish music for kantele and sinfonietta.
