Athelas gave a concert on Cinema de la plage May 14 2009 to mark the opening of the Cannes Film Festival. The ensemble and the singer Misen Groth performed music to the Stieg Larsson film “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. The music is written by Denmark’s highly acclaimed film composer Jacob Groth, who written a series of famous scores. “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” has been seen by more than 7,5 million people throughout the world. The concert in Cannes was introduced by film director Niels Arden.
